This is a watercolor on Arches 140 hot press paper, It is a miniature painting done for the MASF society 2017 show/exhibit and sold right away. It is my Mum at age 5 1/2 during the war in England,1940. Her dad was an active duty RAF officer and her Mum had died a year before. He sent her to live with his sister in Devonshire to keep her safe. My Great Aunty Pat took her a professional photographer to send a post card to her Daddy, the back of the postcard is painted just as it is written in her hand on the wrong side of the post card. Aunty Pat kept it until Mum married in Ipswich England quite near the RAF Base where she went back to live once it was safe. After the wedding she came here to live near my Dads family and never went back.
WELCOME TO MY WEBSITE Since 2013 most of my paintings are MINIATURES which is 5 x 5 inches or 25 square inches OR LESS. These take great skill and patience and most will take as much time to complete as a larger size painting. I am a Signature Member of the Miniature Artists of America as of 2018 at which time there were only 99 in the United States of America.
